A day after a ninth-inning collapse, the Aviators left no doubt Thursday night.

Las Vegas pounded out 14 hits and rode a dominant start from Kade Morris to a 12-1 victory over Albuquerque at Las Vegas Ballpark. The win improves the Aviators to 25-21, while the Isotopes fall to 26-22.

Morris sets the tone

Morris earned his fourth win of the season with six scoreless innings. He allowed just two hits, walked four and struck out six over 86 pitches.

Albuquerque never advanced a runner past second against the right-hander. Morris generated seven ground-ball outs and worked around traffic in the sixth to preserve the shutout before turning it over to the bullpen.

Matt Krook and Elvis Alvarado each delivered scoreless frames. Nick Anderson allowed a solo home run in the ninth, the only blemish on an otherwise steady night from the relief corps.

Marlowe powers the offense

Cade Marlowe drove the offense with a six-RBI performance. He doubled home a run in the first, added a two-run double in the fifth and broke the game open with a three-run homer in the eighth. The blast traveled 436 feet off the bat at 106.5 mph.

Las Vegas built the lead steadily before erupting for six runs in the eighth inning.

Joshua Kuroda-Grauer went 3-for-5 with a double, a triple and an RBI. Brett Harris collected four hits and drove in two runs. Joey Meneses added two hits and an RBI, while Tommy White doubled and drove in a run.

The Aviators went 6-for-18 with runners in scoring position and scored six times with two outs.

Right-hander Valente Bellozo (0-3, 7.22 ERA) is expected to start for Albuquerque against right-hander Barnett (2-0, 3.41 ERA) for Las Vegas.
