Today is Tuesday, April 28, and 11 days remain until the Las Vegas Aces open the 2026 season. At Dice City Sports, we are counting down to opening tip as the defending champs chase a fourth championship in five years while we rank the top 14 players in franchise history.
Adrienne Goodson
Goodson checks in at No. 11 after producing across the franchise’s Utah and San Antonio years. In six seasons with the Starzz and Silver Stars from 1999-2004, she averaged 13.6 points, 5.6 rebounds and 2.2 assists in 188 games.
Her best work came in Utah, where she was one of the franchise’s first steady scorers. Goodson averaged 14.9 points as an original Starzz player in 1999, then raised that to 17.2 points in 2000 while receiving MVP votes. She added another strong season in 2002 with 15.7 points and 5.7 rebounds per game, earned All-Star honors and again received MVP votes. She remained productive after the move to San Antonio, averaging 11.2 points in 2003 and 10.9 points with 6.9 rebounds in 2004.
Why she ranks here
Goodson ranks this high because she gave the franchise reliable production in its early years and carried that value into San Antonio. Her scoring, rebounding and durability helped establish the standard for the organization before its championship era.
Background
Goodson was born Oct. 19, 1966, in Bayonne, N.J. She played at Old Dominion and attended Bayonne High School in Bayonne, N.J. The Utah Starzz selected her in the third round of the 1999 WNBA Draft with the No. 27 overall pick.
Career check
In 221 WNBA games, Goodson averaged 12.2 points, 5.1 rebounds and 2.0 assists while shooting 43.8% from the field. She was a 2002 All-Star and received MVP votes in 2000 and 2002.
Next up tomorrow: No. 10.
