Today is Saturday, April 25, and 14 days remain until the Las Vegas Aces open the 2026 regular season on Saturday, May 9, against the Phoenix Mercury, the same team they beat to win the WNBA title. At Dice City Sports, we are counting down to opening tip as the defending champs chase a fourth championship in five years while we rank the top 14 players in franchise history.

Liz Cambage

Cambage lands at No. 14 after a productive two-season run with the Aces in 2019 and 2021. In 57 games with Las Vegas, she averaged 15.2 points, 8.2 rebounds, 1.8 assists and 1.6 blocks while shooting 51.9% from the field.

Her best Aces season came in 2019, when she averaged 15.9 points and 8.2 rebounds in 32 games. She earned All-Star honors, made the All-WNBA second team and received MVP votes that season. Cambage followed with another All-Star year in 2021, averaging 14.2 points, 8.2 rebounds and 1.6 blocks in 25 games.

Why she ranks here

Few players in franchise history brought Cambage’s blend of size, scoring and rim protection. Her two All-Star selections with Las Vegas and her 2019 All-WNBA season give her a strong case at No. 14.

Background

Cambage was born Aug. 18, 1991, in Southwark, United Kingdom. She attended Padua College in Mornington, Australia, and was drafted by the Tulsa Shock with the No. 2 overall pick in the 2011 WNBA Draft. The Aces acquired her from Dallas on May 16, 2019.

Career check

Across 167 WNBA games, Cambage averaged 15.8 points, 7.5 rebounds, 1.6 assists and 1.6 blocks while shooting 53.9% from the field. She was a four-time All-Star, the 2018 scoring champion, a two-time All-WNBA selection and a 2011 All-Rookie pick.

Next up tomorrow: No. 13.
