The Women’s FIBA World Cup qualifying tournament is underway, and the United States women’s national team is already off to a hot start in Puerto Rico.

To open play, Team USA delivered a dominant win, rolling past Senegal 110-46. Across the tournament, several WNBA stars are representing their countries. For example, Caitlin Clark played her first game since July 2025 after a right groin injury and finished with a game-high 17 points and 12 assists to lead the Americans to a commanding opening win.

Most notably, the Las Vegas Aces also had a strong presence, with a pair of their stars featured for Team USA throughout the matchup.

Aces Players Represent Team USA

The Las Vegas Aces have plenty of representation in San Juan for the tournament.

Chelsea Gray and Jackie Young were both in the mix, representing the reigning WNBA champions on the international stage. They joined other standouts, including Angel Reese, Paige Bueckers and Rhyne Howard.

Gray, the reigning Unrivaled MVP, did not have her best offensive outing, scoring 3 points on 1-for-2 shooting in 11 minutes. Still, her lone bucket came off an assist from Young.

Young provided valuable minutes off the bench for Team USA, finishing with 8 points on 3-for-4 shooting, plus 5 rebounds and 1 steal in 20 minutes.

As a result, both Gray and Young should have chances to make an impact as role players for Team USA throughout the tournament.

Next, Gray and Young will look to help Team USA keep its momentum going March 12 against Puerto Rico.
