Dana White vs. Eddie Hearn Feud Escalates After Conor Benn Signs with Zuffa Boxing

The growing rivalry between Dana White and Eddie Hearn just intensified and White believes he landed the first major blow. After signing Conor Benn to Zuffa Boxing, White openly mocked Hearn during the post-fight press conference following UFC Houston, celebrating the acquisition of one of Matchroom Boxing’s former headliners.

“Is there a bigger p*ssy than Eddie Hearn?” White said. “He made more money. He’s going to make more money, and he had the right to match it. He could have matched it.”

Benn’s Departure Stings Matchroom

Benn had been promoted by Hearn and Matchroom Boxing for most of his professional career. After news broke that Benn signed a marquee deal with Zuffa Boxing the new promotion launched by White and WWE president Nick Khan Hearn admitted the move hurt. He said he felt “devastated” and believed Benn should have called him personally before making the decision. According to Hearn, Benn’s legal team notified Matchroom of the move, but when he attempted to contact the fighter directly, he was unable to reach him. White dismissed that claim entirely. “What a crock of sh*t,” White said. “Yeah, we’re literally beating up babies.”

White’s Confidence in Zuffa Boxing

Dana White has been openly bullish about his entry into boxing since Zuffa Boxing launched earlier this year. He previously said he was surprised by how little resistance he encountered from traditional promoters. Signing Benn one of the UK’s most recognizable fighters only strengthens his argument that the new promotion can attract elite talent.

Bigger Moves Coming?

White insists Benn’s signing is just the beginning. “Judge us at the end of the year by the work that we do this year… then you judge what we’ve accomplished in one year in the sport of boxing.”

If Zuffa Boxing continues landing fighters from established promoters, the White–Hearn feud could become one of the sport’s most significant power struggles. For now, though, White is enjoying the moment. And the scorecard in this promotional rivalry just tilted in his favor.
