The NBA always finds ways to get the fans energized and excited before games, and they decided to bring it back for this one.
Western Conference Cup Semifinals opened with the 17-7 Spurs facing the 24-1 Thunder. The NBA brought in world-famous rapper Nas to perform before tipoff in Las Vegas.
Everyone quickly crowded around the stage in front of the arena, waiting for the hip hop legend to make his appearance. When he came out, everyone went wild.
He played hits like “The World Is Yours” and “If I Ruled the World,” which gave fans nostalgia. Fans also got some first listens to his newest album, “Light Years,” which dropped December 12, a day before the game.
This performance not only bring people back in time but also together to share a moment in harmony. Fans from both teams were singing and dancing together, before they both turned back into rivals.
People were dancing, bobbing and even screaming for certain songs; they couldn’t believe their eyes. After he sadly had to wrap up his performance and thanked the crowd for being there. They went from a rap legend to all the fun of an NBA night, and then the game tipped off.
