The Turkey Tip-Off returns to Las Vegas this week as UNLV hosts Creighton, Northern Iowa, and Northern Arizona for a two-day Thanksgiving tournament at the Thomas & Mack Center.

The Turkey Tip-Off also includes Northern Arizona and Northern Iowa (UNI), giving UNLV two opportunities to regain momentum after three straight losses.

UNLV looks to reset after close losses

UNLV enters the Turkey Tip-Off with a 2–3 record, including a one-possession loss at Arizona State on Saturday. Despite the setback, the Lady Rebels saw strong performances from Jasmyn Lott and Mariah Elohim, who each scored 12 points. Meadow Roland added her third double-double of the season with 11 points and 11 rebounds.

As the Lady Rebels return home, they continue to lean on Alexander, Lott, and Roland, who are all averaging double figures.

Creighton matchup opens the tournament

Creighton arrives at the Turkey Tip-Off at 1–3 and coming off a 51–50 loss to UNI. The Blue Jays are led by Ava Zediker, who averages 13 points per game, with Kiani Lockett adding 10 per game. Grace Boffeli controls the glass with 8 rebounds per contest.

The schools last met in the 2023 NCAA First Round, when Creighton defeated UNLV 87–73.

UNI awaits Friday showdown

On Friday, UNLV faces Northern Iowa at 2:30 p.m. UNI enters the Turkey Tip-Off at 1–3 after a narrow win over Creighton. Taryn Wharton leads the Panthers with 8.8 points per game, while Ryley Goebel adds 8.5 points per game. Elise Jaeger anchors the rebounding effort at 10.5 boards per contest.

The programs have met just once before, a 79–65 UNLV win in 1985.

Tickets and broadcast details

Fans can purchase advance tickets online for $6. General admission at the door is $10, or $8 for seniors, UNLV staff, and alumni. UNLV and Nevada high school students, as well as children 12 and under, receive free entry. One ticket grants access to both games.

The Turkey Tip-Off will air on SSSEN and stream on the Mountain West Network.

Takeaway

The Turkey Tip-Off offers UNLV a timely chance to stabilize its season in front of a home crowd. With Creighton and UNI both entering the week at 1–3, the Lady Rebels have an opportunity to regain confidence before December play begins.
