The Indiana Fever (12-10) are set to face off against the New York Liberty (14-6) in the WNBA tonight. Tip-off is scheduled for 4:30 p.m. PST at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.
The Liberty are the favorites, with a 9.5-point spread over the Fever, and the total points line is set at 163.5.
Tonight’s game features a high-scoring matchup between the New York Liberty and the Indiana Fever, both of which have formidable offensive capabilities.
While injuries have sidelined some key players, both teams have demonstrated their ability to score. In their two previous meetings this season, the Over was comfortably surpassed by 20.5 points in June and 3.5 points in May.
I’m expecting that trend to persist tonight. New York leads the WNBA in points per game, while Indiana ranks a close third.
Even if the Fever have to compete without Clark, they’ve shown they can hold their own, evidenced by their impressive upset against the defending champions earlier this season.
Indiana knows how to exploit the Liberty’s weaknesses, particularly with Jonquel Jones out for the last eight games due to an ankle injury.
On the other hand, the Liberty are coming in well-rested after their last game on Sunday. They’ll be geared up to face a Fever team playing their second game of a back-to-back.
With New York looking to settle the score and Indiana trying to go into the break on a high note, anticipate both teams to come out firing on all cylinders.
