- What: MLB Regular Season Game
- When: July 4, 2025
- Who: Chicago White Sox vs. Colorado Rockies
- Time: 5:10 p.m. PST
- Where: Coors Field (Denver, CO)
The Chicago White Sox (28-59) face off against the Colorado Rockies (20-67) this Friday in a three-game series at Coors Field, starting at 5:10 p.m. PST.
This is the first matchup of the season; last year, the White Sox won 2-1. Chicago is on a three-game losing streak, recently swept by the LA Dodgers, with their last game ending in a 6-2 defeat.
Brooks Baldwin hit a two-run homer for their only runs.
Colorado ended a two-game skid with a 7-6 win over the Houston Astros on Wednesday, with Thairo Estrada leading the way with a two-run homer and four RBIs.
Pitching Matchup
With a record of 3-2 and an impressive 1.90 ERA, Adrian Houser is set to make his eighth start. He boasts a 1.17 WHIP along with 3.0 BB/9 and 6.5 K/9 across 42 and two-thirds innings of work.
In his last outing, he secured a win by throwing seven innings without allowing any earned runs, giving up just four hits and one walk while striking out five in a 1-0 home victory against the San Francisco Giants.
Over his career against the Rockies, he holds a 1-0 record with a 5.67 ERA over 27 innings.
On the other hand, Antonio Senzatela, who stands at 3-11 with a 6.69 ERA, is making his 17th start. He has a higher WHIP of 1.93, with 3.5 BB/9 and 4.7 K/9 through 80 and two-thirds innings.
His most recent performance was less favorable, as he suffered a loss after pitching four and one-third innings, allowing five earned runs on eight hits, with three walks and two strikeouts in a 5-0 defeat against the Milwaukee Brewers.
Against the White Sox, Senzatela has yet to secure a win, holding an ERA of 4.70 over 7 2/3 innings in two career games.
The Rockies are on a historically bad pace when it comes to losing games. They’re on pace to break the record for the most losses in a season that the White Sox just set last season.
That being said I think the Rockies stay hot and pile on a couple of wins this weekend against the White Sox.
