- What: WNBA Commissioner’s Cup Championship
- When: July 1, 2025
- Who: Indiana Fever vs. Minnesota Lynx
- Time: 5:00 p.m. PST
- Where: Target Center (Minneapolis, MN)
A champion will be crowned in the WNBA on Tuesday night as the Indiana Fever faces off against the Minnesota Lynx for the 2025 WNBA Commissioner’s Cup.
This matchup features two leading MVP candidates, Napheesa Collier and Caitlin Clark, and the defending Commissioner’s Cup champions, Minnesota.
The Lynx aims to make history by becoming the first team to win back-to-back Commissioner’s Cup titles since its inception.
However, Clark will be out for this game. She has missed the last two games due to a groin injury, adding to the Fever’s challenges.
With Indiana at 8-8 and fourth in net rating, they face a tough challenge against the Lynx, who boast the league’s best record at 14-2 and the highest net rating.
Collier is having an exceptional season, averaging a career-high 24.4 points, 8.5 rebounds, 3.7 assists, 1.8 steals, and 1.5 blocks.
Given the Lynx’s dominance this season and their home advantage (8-0 record), they are heavily favored to secure the Commissioner’s Cup victory over the Fever, especially with Clark’s injury keeping her out.
I was tempted to take the Lynx on the spread in this one but it opened at 4.5 points and with the Clark injury news is now at 10.5 points. I turn my attention to the total which opened at 167 and has now dropped all the way to 158.5.
The spread increased by six points and the total dropped by 8.5 points. I’m going to take the over in this one because that feels like too drastic of a drop on the total compared to the spread.
Best Bet: Over 158.5 points at -110 odds
