As fans wait for what is being called ‘the biggest fight in UFC history’ between Tom Aspinall and Jon Jones, according to MMAWeekly.com, some fans have gotten the bright idea to organize an online petition to strip Jones of his UFC heavyweight championship title.

Jones officially became the second-longest reigning heavyweight champion in UFC history last month, despite only making one defense of his title.

After beating Stipe Miocic in November last year, many expected the 37-year-old to settle on retirement, but Jones clearly had other plans.

Instead of announcing his retirement, Jon Jones has skated around the thought of hanging up the gloves in multiple interviews leaving his proposed bought against Tom Aspinall hanging in the balance.

A lot of fans have grown aggravated with waiting for the bout to happen. They have started a petition that has now garnered over 60,000 signatures.

Jones has since caught wind of the petition. He decided the best way to respond was to troll fans for starting petition in the first place.

“The equivalent to pico grams,” Jones joked on Instagram in response to the viral petition against him.

The joke from Jones references a controversial moment in his career. After several hiccups with USADA and problems outside the cage, the former light heavyweight kingpin tested positive for trace amounts (picograms) of a banned performance-enhancing substance.

Aspinall has become a threat of sorts to the heavyweight title. In fact, some fans have accused ‘Bones’ of ducking Aspinall, which has begun to damage his legacy in the UFC.
