If you haven’t been in the loop of pop culture as of late, you’d have to live under a rock to not know about Beyoncé’s Cowboy Carter Tour.
As if the tour hasn’t been main news almost daily, it has picked up even more traction thanks to Sphere CEO James Dolan.
In the early Los Angeles days of the tour, Beyoncé presented an interlude sequence during her show that pays homage to the classic sci-fi movie ‘The 50 Foot Woman”. In the interlude Beyoncé is shown on walking on the Las Vegas Strip. She then pics up The Sphere.
The problem is that she has chosen Allegiant Stadium for her Las Vegas tour stops on July 25-26 instead of The Sphere.
This small fact has led to Dolan and his team sending a cease-and-desists letter to Beyoncé’s team asking to cut the scene completely from the tour.
She removed the scene from the interlude and has now replaced it with Allegiant Stadium.
Las Vegas Raiders’ owner Mark Davis was recently asked about the change. Davis said he’s happy about the change. He also took a shady shot at Dolan.
“I’m certainly not going to send Beyoncé a cease-and-desist,” Davis told the Las Vegas Review-Journal. “In fact, if she can throw the ball …”
While it isn’t clear that there’s a brewing rivalry between Davis and Dolan, the two have most likely crossed paths multiple times.
