  • What: NBA Western Conference Playoffs Semifinals Game 5
  • When:  May 13, 2025
  • Who:  Indiana Pacers vs. Cleveland Cavaliers

  • Where: Paycom Center (Oklahoma City, OK)

The Denver Nuggets will face the Oklahoma City Thunder on Tuesday in Game 5 of their Western Conference semifinals series.

Both teams are looking to take a 3-2 lead after splitting the first two games—the game tips off at 6:30 p.m. PST at Paycom Center.

The playoff series is tied 2-2. In Sunday’s Game 4, OKC squeezed out a 92-87 win but failed to cover as a 7-point favorite, with the total going under (228).

The Thunder’s defense was key, limiting the Nuggets to 31.3% shooting and forcing them to struggle from beyond the three-point line.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander led OKC with 25 points, while Isaiah Hartenstein and Chet Holmgren contributed significantly on the boards.

Only one Nugget, Aaron Gordon, shot better than 50% in that game, finishing with 15 points and 16 rebounds.

Nikola Jokic has been held in check, shooting just 31.9% over the last two games. Despite the split, the Nuggets are 3-1 against the spread in this series and have covered in their last two matchups.

In short, the Nuggets had a rough Game 4 but lost only five points. I expect them, especially Jokic, to improve their performance and cover the spread in this next game.

I’ll take the Nuggets to cover the 9.5 point spread against the Thunder in this one as the best bet.

Best Bet: Nuggets +10.5 points at -110 odds
