LAS VEGAS — The Golden Knights lost the Minnesota Wild 5-2 on Thursday night. The loss was the second in a row for Vegas. The Wild have a 2-1 series lead.
Kirill Kaprizov gave the Wild an early 1-0 lead in the first period. Marco Rossi added another goal to increase the Wild’s lead to 2-0. Alex Pietrangelo got the Golden Knights on the board and cut the lead to 2-1 to end the first period.
Matt Boldy and Kaprizov both scored in the second period to push the lead to 4-1. Reilly Smith added a goal late for Vegas to cut the lead to 4-2.
The Golden Knights have been thoroughly outplayed in back-to-back games. They must figure something out and try a different strategy in Game 4 on Saturday.
