The Oklahoma City Thunder currently lead the NBA with the best record. They aim to keep their remarkable season going this Monday when they face the Chicago Bulls in an inter-conference matchup.
With a winning streak of nine games, the Thunder’s record is 62-12, which puts them 2.5 games ahead of the Cleveland Cavaliers for home-court advantage in the upcoming 2025 NBA Playoffs.
Meanwhile, the Bulls are 33-41, ranked ninth in the Eastern Conference.
Both teams have been performing well against the spread lately, with Oklahoma City covering in each game during their winning streak and Chicago covering in 10 of their last 12 games.
The Thunder have been the top team in the NBA throughout the season, but I can’t pick them in this one, especially with both Chet Holmgren and Isaiah Hartenstein listed as questionable for Monday’s game.
Meanwhile, the Bulls are enjoying their best stretch of basketball ranking sixth in the NBA for net rating. They also have a solid record against the spread as road underdogs, sitting three games above .500.
With the spread set at Thunder -15, I believe the Bulls have a good chance to stay competitive, particularly since they play at such a fast pace.
OKC’s net rating is only 5.8 points better than Chicago’s over the last 10 games for both teams. I’ll take the Bulls to cover in this one.
