As reported by MMA Weekly, UFC President Dana White now faces a dilemma for Jones/Aspinall.

The negotiations and press surrounding the fight have become a bit of a circus, but Dana White thinks he may have found a solution.

The rumor mill has been churning about the Jones camp being hesitant to accept the heavyweight title unification bout despite Aspinall being the number one contender.

As the heavyweight division sits in limbo, there may be a solution to the problem.

Rising UFC contender Jailton Almeida believes that his plan can answer all of the questions in the division.

Almeida insists that the best way to solve conundrum at the top of the weight class is to hold a grand prix.

Almeida said on social media, “Let’s do it like this, Jones x Aspinall fight for the belt [and] a Grand Prix between the contenders.”

“[Jailton] Almeida x [Alexander] Volkov, this fight was already booked and I’m the only one Volkov hasn’t fought yet. [Ciryl] Gane x [Sergei Pavlovich], two European strikers who never fought each other,” Almeida continued.

But how does all of that solve the problem in the division?

Well, according to Almeida, the man who comes away with the most memorable victory in their respective fight should be given a shot at UFC gold.

True enough, the grand prix style will boost fan interest in the heavyweight division, but would it solve the Jones/Aspinall delay?

Dana White is still positive that the fight will happen and will possibly be booked for summer.
