  • Where: Intuit Dome (Inglewood, CA)

Two hot teams will face off tonight at the Intuit Dome as the Los Angeles Clippers host the Oklahoma City Thunder. The Clippers are riding a five-game winning streak, while the Thunder aim to extend their streak to six victories.

OKC

This season, the Thunder rank fourth in the league with an average of 119.5 points per game (ppg) and have a remarkable average of 131.7 ppg over their last three games.

They recently defeated the Charlotte Hornets 141-106 at home, shooting 57.4% overall and 53.8% from three-point range. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander led the way with 30 points, while Isaiah Hartenstein contributed a double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds.

The Thunder are on a five-game winning streak, having covered the spread in each game. They have the best record in the NBA, losing just once in their last 13 games.

In addition to their scoring prowess, the Thunder also rank second in points allowed per game. Gilgeous-Alexander leads the league in scoring with 32.9 ppg and has 17 assists in the last two games.

They’ve continued to win despite the absence of their second-leading scorer, Jalen Williams (21.3 ppg). Chet Holmgren and Hartenstein have also made significant contributions.

The Thunder are tied with the Celtics for the best road record at 27-7.

Los Angeles

The Clippers rank 21st in the NBA with an average of 111.9 points per game, but they’ve shown offensive power by scoring at least 128 points in their last two wins against the Cavaliers and Grizzlies.

In their latest game, they secured a 128-108 victory over Memphis, marking their fifth straight win.

James Harden led with 30 points. Kawhi Leonard and Ivica Zubac each posted double-doubles, combining for 40 points and 20 rebounds.

Defensively, Los Angeles is fourth in the league for opponents’ points per game.

Norman Powell leads the team in scoring at 23 points per game but has struggled recently, averaging just 9 points over the last four games.

Harden has improved, averaging 27 points in his last four games, while Leonard has elevated his scoring to 26.6 points over the same stretch.

The Clippers are 25-10 at home this season, and they have won eight of their last nine games. They are sitting in seventh place in the Western Conference, just one game behind the Golden State Warriors.

Thunder-Clippers Best Bet

Both teams are currently on a winning streak, each having secured five consecutive victories. The Thunder, in particular, have triumphed in 12 of their last 13 games and have clinched the top seed in the Western Conference playoffs.

With that position secured, they could begin to rest key players to prepare for the postseason. The Clippers have struggled against the Thunder this season, losing all three matchups, including an early home game without Leonard.

Both he and Harden are performing well.

When predicting the outcome between the Oklahoma City Thunder and the L.A. Clippers, the Clippers will likely continue their strong performance at home and at least cover the spread, especially against an OKC team that has little to play for.

Back the Clippers and the 2.5 points in this one.
