The Detroit Red Wings will face off against the Vegas Golden Knights in an inter-conference matchup on Saturday night.

The Red Wings lost to the Capitals on Tuesday in their last outing, while the Golden Knights won over the Bruins in their most recent game.

The Red Wings defeated the Golden Knights 3-0 last week in Detroit.

Detroit

The Detroit Red Wings are chasing a wildcard playoff spot with just four points out, but they are running out of time.

They are 2-3 in their last five games, including a win over the Sabres and a loss to the Hurricanes. Recently, they beat the Golden Knights but lost 4-1 to the Capitals.

Lucas Raymond has scored six points in six games, totaling 69 this season. Dylan Larkin has only seven points this month, with 60 overall.

Patrick Kane leads with 11 points in March and 46 this season, while rookie Marco Kasper has added four points in his last five games.

Petr Mrazek is starting in goal with a 3.35 GAA and a .891 save percentage. Cam Talbot, the primary goalie, has a 2.96 GAA and a .915 save percentage.

The Red Wings average 2.9 goals per game (20th in the league) and allow 3.1 goals per game (24th overall).

Vegas

The Vegas Golden Knights aim for their second straight win. They are currently three points ahead of the Oilers in the standings. They recently posted a 2-3 record but rebounded with a 5-1 victory against the Bruins.

Jack Eichel is in peak form, racking up 82 points this season, while Mark Stone has two points in his last five games, totaling 58.

Noah Hanifin is stepping up in Shea Theodore’s absence, contributing eight points this month, while Brayden McNabb boasts a +32 rating on defense.

Adin Hill has a 2.50 GAA and a .907 save percentage in goal, while Ilya Samsonov has a 2.81 GAA and a .889 save percentage. The Knights average 3.3 goals per game (6th overall) and allow 2.7 goals (10th).

Adin Hill will get the start tonight in goal.

Red Wings-Golden Knights Best Bet

Vegas has just completed a challenging road trip and is now back on home ice with an impressive record of 25-7-3. They’re eager to extend their lead in the Pacific Division.

Although the Red Wings urgently need a win to stay competitive with the teams above them in the Atlantic Division, this is not a good spot for them.

There is definitely a revenge factor in play here. The Golden Knights have not forgotten last week’s shoutout loss to the Red Wings.
