In this prediction for the Lakers versus Bucks matchup, the Lakers are on the road again as they head to Milwaukee to face the Bucks.
After two consecutive losses, the Lakers have dropped to third place in the Western Conference, trailing the Nuggets. Meanwhile, the Bucks are in a tight race with the Pacers for the fourth position in the Eastern Conference.
Los Angeles
The Los Angeles Lakers are facing a significant challenge as LeBron James is sidelined for two weeks with a groin injury, impacting their current road trip.
After a 111-108 loss to the Nets, they have dropped two straight games. Luka Doncic contributed a triple-double of 22 points, 12 rebounds, and 12 assists despite poor shooting. Gabe Vincent added 24 points off the bench.

Following an eight-game win streak, the Lakers began the trip with losses to the Celtics and Nets, allowing the Nuggets to leapfrog them into second place in the Western Conference.
The Lakers rank 18th in scoring and 11th in offensive efficiency this season. Defensively, they fare better, ranking 8th in points allowed and field goal defense and 4th in three-point defense.
They also stand 13th in scoring margin, turnover margin, and rebounding.
Milwaukee
The Milwaukee Bucks are vying for homecourt advantage in the Eastern Conference Playoffs. They are currently in a tight race with the Pacers for the fourth seed.
With a 7-3 record in their last ten games, they faced Indiana on Tuesday but suffered a heart-wrenching 115-114 loss after Tyrese Halliburton hit a clutch three-pointer and completed a four-point play.

Brook Lopez led the Bucks with 23 points, while Giannis Antetokounmpo contributed 19 points, 17 rebounds, and seven assists.
Despite injuries, including Bobby Portis’s absence until April due to a banned substance violation, the Bucks have performed well. They rank 11th in the NBA in scoring, sixth in field goal percentage, and second in three-point shooting.
Defensively, they are 12th in points allowed, third in field goal defense, and seventh in three-point defense while also holding the ninth position in scoring margin.
Lakers-Bucks Best Bet
The Bucks have shown strong defensive efficiency this season, allowing opponents to shoot just 34.8% from three-point range, which ranks fourth in the league.
On the offensive side, Damian Lillard has faced challenges recently, hitting only 34.1% from beyond the arc in his last five games. He’s managed just 3-for-14 shooting from three in his last two outings.
Both teams will have difficulty finding their rhythm from long distance in this matchup.
I expect the total points to fall below the projected figure, especially with Luka adopting a slower pace in the absence of LeBron James. Therefore, I recommend considering the under.
