On Tuesday night, the Houston Rockets will take on the Indiana Pacers.

The Rockets are coming off a tough 137-128 loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder on Monday, while the Pacers secured a solid 127-112 victory over the Chicago Bulls on Sunday.

Houston’s record is 37-24, and it occupies the fifth seed in the Western Conference. It has a 17-13 record on the road this season.

Meanwhile, Indiana, also sitting in fifth place but in the Eastern Conference with a record of 34-25, has performed well at home, boasting an 18-9 record.

The Pacers may be without Bennedict Mathurin due to a wrist injury, and Fred VanVleet will not play for the Rockets due to an ankle issue.

Houston

The Rockets triumphed in the initial encounter of the season, defeating the Pacers 130-113 in Houston on November 20. This victory snapped Indiana’s nine-game winning streak in their rivalry.

However, the Pacers are favored by 3.5 points, with the over/under for total points set at 232.5.

Shooting guard Jalen Green is a key contributor to the Houston offense, averaging 21.6 points, 4.4 rebounds, and 3.1 assists over 33.4 minutes per game.

In a recent 113-103 defeat against Sacramento, he tallied 24 points, along with two rebounds and two assists.

Meanwhile, small forward Dillon Brooks is dealing with a knee injury and is listed as day-to-day. He has been averaging 13.5 points, 3.9 rebounds, and 1.6 assists in 32.2 minutes of play.

In a 118-106 victory over the San Antonio Spurs on Wednesday, he scored 19 points and grabbed four rebounds.

He also delivered a solid performance with 16 points, eight rebounds, and four assists in a narrow 100-97 win against the Milwaukee Bucks on February 25.

Indiana

Power forward Pascal Siakam has been on a hot streak lately. In Sunday’s victory against Chicago, he recorded 20 points, six rebounds, four assists, and two blocks.

Earlier, in a close 125-120 loss to Miami on Friday, he scored 36 points while also contributing six rebounds, two assists, and two steals.

Throughout 59 games, all of which he started, he is averaging 20.6 points, 7.3 rebounds, and 3.3 assists in about 33 minutes per game.

Point guard Tyrese Haliburton has also been impressive, notching a double-double in five straight games. In the win over the Bulls on Sunday, he tallied 17 points, 12 assists, five rebounds, and three steals.

He had an outstanding performance with 29 points, 12 assists, and three steals in a 129-111 victory against the Los Angeles Clippers on February 23.

Throughout 58 games, he has averaged 18.4 points, 8.8 assists, 3.5 rebounds, and 1.5 steals in approximately 34 minutes of play.

Rockets-Pacers Best Bet

Indiana’s offense has been on a roll, scoring 120.6 points per game over the last five, with a shooting percentage of 52.7%. Tyrese Halliburton leads the league in assists, while Pascal Siakam excels in fast breaks.

The Pacers have also shot 40.7% from three-point range, challenging a Houston defense that recently allowed 115.4 points per game.

While Houston’s young players have stepped up amid injuries, they still allowed 137 points to Oklahoma City last game and have struggled defensively, giving up 50.2% shooting overall.

Indiana’s top-five pace guarantees a high-possession game, putting pressure on the Rockets. In three of their last four meetings, these teams have combined for over 243 points.

Both rank in the top 10 for fast-break points and thrive in transition. With Indiana’s tempo and Houston’s defensive struggles, expect an exciting, high-scoring matchup in Indianapolis!
