According to Fight Book MMA, UFC’s Conor McGregor and Logan Paul reached negotiations to fight in 2025.
The $250 million match is set between Conor McGregor and Logan Paul for a showdown in Mumbai, India next year.
Conor McGregor is preparing for a return to combat sports after a long hiatus dealing with sexual assault criminal and civil cases. McGregor looks to step outside of the octagon for what could be one of the biggest sporting events of 2025.
The two fighters are confirmed to meet in a bout hosted by India’s royal Ambani family. The pair are set to make a cool $250 million each for the fight. The fight will occur at the famed Wankhede Stadium as a part of India’s ‘Visit India’ tourism campaign.
McGregor may be a bit rusty as he has not fought since 2021 against Dustin Poirier due to a severe leg injury. McGregor was initially supposed to face off with Michael Chandler, but that bout ended up not happening due to McGregor withdrawing because of an injury to a pinkie toe.
This bout could represent a bright spot in McGregor’s long and illustrious career. While competing in the UFC, he held both the featherweight and the lightweight championships.
The Ambani family is by far one of the world’s richest families. The family has amassed a net worth of $120 Billion—they are heading up the event. The family is known for their involvement in sports, petrochemicals, and telecommunications. The family views the event as a monumental moment for not only global sports but for India as well.
No doubt, fans are anticipating this colossal clash between the two next year and it will benefit India’s economy and tourism.
