As we gear up for the Thursday Night Football showdown between the Seattle Seahawks and the Chicago Bears, the betting landscape is buzzing with anticipation.

The Seahawks, sitting at 8-7, are fighting for their playoff lives, while the Bears, at 4-11, are simply trying to salvage some pride after a dismal nine-game losing streak.

But when it comes to betting on this game, the focus should be on the first half spread, where the Seahawks are favored by -3. And here’s why I’m all in on Seattle to cover that number.

Seattle

The Seahawks are coming off a tough loss to the Minnesota Vikings and are in dire need of a win to keep their playoff hopes alive.

They know that every game counts, and with the Rams breathing down their necks in the NFC West, they’ll be looking to establish dominance early.

The urgency of the situation cannot be overstated; Seattle has to come out swinging, and I expect them to do just that.

Moreover, the Seahawks have shown they can score quickly when they need to. With playmakers like DK Metcalf and Jaxon Smith-Njigba, they have the firepower to put points on the board in a hurry.

Metcalf, in particular, has been targeted heavily and has the potential to exploit a Bears secondary that has struggled all season.

If Seattle can get on the board early, it will force the Bears to play catch-up, which is not a position they’ve thrived in this season.

Chicago

First off, let’s talk about the Bears’ first-half struggles. Chicago has been one of the worst teams in the league when it comes to scoring points in the first half, averaging just about a touchdown. In contrast, the Seahawks are more middle-of-the-pack, putting up around 11 points in the first half.

This discrepancy is crucial, especially when you consider that the Bears have been outscored 102-42 over their last three games. They simply can’t get off to a fast start, and that’s a trend that’s likely to continue against a desperate Seahawks team.

Another factor to consider is the Bears’ offensive line, which has been a revolving door for opposing defenses.

Rookie quarterback Caleb Williams has been sacked a league-high 60 times this season, and with two starting offensive linemen out, he’s likely to face even more pressure.

The Seahawks’ defensive front, led by Leonard Williams, is primed to take advantage of this weakness.

If they can get to Williams early and often, it will not only disrupt the Bears’ offensive rhythm but also force them into a pass-heavy game script, which plays right into Seattle’s hands.

Seahawks-Bears Best Bet

The first half spread of -3 may seem like a key number, but I believe the Seahawks will not only cover it but do so convincingly.

The Bears’ inability to score early, combined with the Seahawks’ need to establish a lead, sets the stage for Seattle to take control of this game from the get-go.

The urgency of the Seahawks’ playoff aspirations will drive them to come out firing, and I expect them to capitalize on the Bears’ slow starts.

Betting on the Seahawks to cover the first half spread of -3 at -115 odds is a smart move. With the Bears’ offensive struggles and the Seahawks’ motivation to win, this matchup is shaping up to be a favorable one for Seattle.

So, grab your bets and get ready for a thrilling night of football, because the Seahawks are set to soar early against the Bears.
