Coming off a 72-65 victory against the Pacific Tigers, the Runnin’ Rebels (5-4) are looking to continue their momentum as they face the No. 22 Dayton Flyers (9-2).
This will be the second game in three days for the Runnin’ Rebels after playing just twice in the past two weeks.
In their victory over Pacific, the Runnin’ Rebels controlled the flow of the game by getting the bench involved along with their starters. Guard Dedan Thomas, Jr. continues to lead the Runnin’ Rebels scoring 16.7 points per game, with help from forward Jeremiah Cherry who averages 11.0 points per game. Julian Rishwain stepped up against the Tigers scoring a season-high 21 points, 4 assists, and had a career-high in three-pointers. Thomas, Jr. added 16 points, 5 assists, and 2 steals. Jaden Henley also scored 11 points. The bench also stepped up big for the Rebels.
The Dayton Flyers are coming into this game ranked No. 22 in the country and have a four-game winning streak. The Flyers are led by Enoch Cheeks, who is averaging 15.8 points per game. Cheeks also leads the team in rebounding and steals, averaging 7.3 rebounds per game and 2.0 steals per game.
The Runnin’s Rebels will face the Flyers on Tuesday, December 17th at 7 p.m. EST/4 p.m. PST. The game will be available for viewing on Peacock.
