Lady Rebels get a resounding victory against DePaul

The UNLV Lady Rebels (7-3) started off their trip to the Midwest in commanding fashion in their 80-61 win against the DePaul Blue Demons (4-3).

Leader of the Pack

Guard Aaliyah Alexander came up big for the Lady Rebels scoring a season-high 25 points, went 8-for-10 from the field, and a perfect 3-for-3 from the three-point line. Alexander was also 6-for-10 from the free-throw line. Kiara Jackson added 17 points and Amarachi Kimpson snatched down a career-high 8 rebounds. Kiara Jackson’s 17 points in the win brought her career total to 986. She is 16 points short of reaching the 1K club at UNLV.

Looking Good on Both Sides

The Lady Rebels kept the Blue Demons in check on the offensive side. The Blue Demons shot 38.1% from the field for the entire game. They also were stopped at the three-point line, shooting only 19.0%. The Lady Rebels shot 51.7% from the floor for the game and 40.0% from three-point land. Forward Alyssa Brown also led the Lady Rebels on the floor with 4 assists and one blocked shot. Center Erica Collins also added a block shot against the Blue Demons. Forward Meadow Roland was also perfect from the arc, going 1-for-1. The Lady Rebels managed to outrebound the Blue Demons 39-36.
