If you did a survey on which quarterback Raiders fans want for the 2025 season, most of them would agree that Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders should be the Raiders pick going into the NFL Draft next April.
It seems that the Raiders/Sanders love affair is just beginning. The love affair could bloom per se considering the Raiders have the No. 2 drafting spot in next year’s draft as reported by Tankathon. The only team ahead of the Raiders is the Jacksonville Jaguars and they are currently not looking for a quarterback.
According to Bleacher Report on X, Shedeur Sanders posted a now-deleted tweet riding by Allegiant Stadium with the word “Legendary” in the video.
Most football analysts like Dov Kleiman reacted on X by saying, “Shedeur Sanders isn’t even hiding the fact he wants to be a #Raider.

The Raiders’ chance to draft a quarterback in 2024 didn’t quite pan out so they are hoping that the initiative to draft a talented quarterback will cement the Raiders’ future moving forward.
Sports Illustrated’s Albert Breer wrote recently, “I’ve heard the football people there could be under a mandate to draft a quarterback in April. And if that’s the plan, whoever the head coach is will have a pretty big impact on who that quarterback is, and how he develops early in his career. This makes the question whether Mark Davis believes Pierce would be the right guy to captain the ship.”
It will be fascinating to see how this Sanders sweepstakes will play out for the Raiders in the NFL Draft assuming they can somehow move up to claim the No. 1 spot to nab Shedeur Sanders.
