The quarterback woes for the Las Vegas Raiders may have just gotten worse.

In the third quarter of the Raiders’ Week 14 matchup against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, quarterback Aidan O’Connell went down with an injury after taking a hit from Buccaneers’ defensive lineman Calijah Kancey.

O’Connell remained down on the field, eventually having an air cast placed on his left leg and being carted off the field. He has been ruled out for the remainder of the game.

Backup Desmond Ridder is now in for the Raiders.

UPDATE: During his postgame press conference, head coach Antonio Pierce was asked about the injury.

“It doesn’t look good,” Pierce responded.

This is a developing story. We will update when more information is available.
