FBI Investigating If Travis Kelce, Patrick Mahomes Burglaries are Connected in a South American Crime Ring

As if the news of Kansas City Chiefs star quarterback, Patrick Mahomes and tight end, Travis Kelce’s homes getting burglarized around the same time wasn’t too weird.  it is now being reported that the FBI has a suspicion about the connections and situation concerning the robberies of the two Chiefs’ stars and a few other athletes.  The FBI is also investigating if the burglaries are a part of some sophisticated crime ring “such as one from South America” as reported by NBC News.

In a recent article it was reported that Milwaukee Bucks forward Bobby Portis and Minnesota Timberwolves guard Mike Conley, Jr. were also robbed. Conley, Jr. ‘s house was robbed while he was in Minnesota, attending a Vikings game back in September.

During the investigation, Minnesota Police told NBC News that they are working with other law enforcement agencies throughout the country to investigate a string of burglaries that targeted high-profiled athletes and celebrities.

In a statement to NBC News, Medina, Minnesota police released a statement stating, “We are aware of some of the other athletes in different states that have had their homes burglarized. Our investigator is working with those agencies and other state and federal partners. We can’t say for sure that they are all related.”

In another report, it is said that the home of former Vikings tackle, Linval Joseph was also robbed in a slew of burglaries in the St. Paul suburb where he resides.

West St. Paul Police Chief, Brian Sturgeon, said that the thieves are beginning to use some “sophisticated techniques” to figure out if people are home or not. Police officers in these affected areas are warning residents to take the proper security measures to ensure that they will not be next if this is a highly sophisticated crime ring.
