Is Shedeur Sanders the next Raiders quarterback?

The future of the Las Vegas Raiders may already be revealing itself.

On social media, users have detected a pattern between Colorado Buffaloes star quarterback Shedeur Sanders’s weekly posts saying “Thank you GOD” after every Raiders game results. According to X user @WalikWillis, Sanders has made the same post every Sunday after a Raiders loss.

It is important to note that this is not Sanders’s only connection with the Raiders, as current Raiders part-owner Tom Brady has worked out with Sanders and signed him to a NIL deal to his BRADY brand two years ago.

With the Raiders currently sitting at 2-7 heading into their bye week and widely expected to pursue a quarterback this upcoming offseason, they would be in a position to aggressively pursue Sanders if this perceived interest is mutual between the two parties.

Sanders, a projected top-three prospect in the 2025 NFL Draft, is having an excellent senior year for the 6-2 Buffaloes. In eight games this season, Sanders has passed for 2,591 yards, and 21 touchdowns, with only six interceptions, completing 73.3% of his passing attempts. He has also run for three additional touchdowns.

Sanders is currently in the running for the top quarterback pick in next year’s NFL Draft, along with Miami’s Cam Ward.

The Buffaloes play the Texas Tech Red Raiders on Nov. 9 in Lubbock, Texas.
