The Baltimore Ravens will play the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Raymond James Stadium on Monday Night Football. The Bucs and Ravens will be the first game of a Monday Night Football doubleheader.

Baltimore Ravens

In their last game, the Ravens secured their fourth consecutive victory with a 30-23 win against the Commanders. Derrick Henry is the NFL’s top rusher with 704 yards, and quarterback Lamar Jackson has recorded 10 touchdowns and two interceptions in six games.

In the previous game, quarterback Lamar Jackson completed 20 of 26 passes (76.9%) for 323 yards, one touchdown, and one interception, achieving a 114.7 rating.

Additionally, he rushed for 40 yards. Looking ahead, Jackson aims for his fifth straight game with a 110-plus rating and his third consecutive game with 315-plus passing yards.

In two games against Tampa Bay, he has a perfect 2-0 record with three touchdowns and zero interceptions. Additionally, Jackson boasts an impressive 22-1 record in 23 career starts against NFC opponents.

On Monday Night Football, he has a record of 5-2 with 17 touchdowns (15 passing and two rushing), zero interceptions, and a 116 rating in seven career starts.

Jackson is the ideal match for Bowles’ strategies. The Bucs frequently blitz at one of the highest rates in the NFL, ranking in the Top 10 in quarterback knockdowns and sacks.

Jackson is one of the most formidable players when facing the blitz, excelling as a top-tier passer when opponents send additional rushers and posing a threat to gain significant yardage with his running ability.

The Bucs have allowed the fifth-highest rushing yards to quarterbacks, with four rushing touchdowns surrendered to the position.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers

In their first six games, the Bucs have faced three rookie quarterbacks, defeating Jayden Daniels, Bo Nix, and most recently, Spencer Rattler.

Quarterback Baker Mayfield has been performing well, throwing 15 touchdowns this season, tying him with Green Bay Packers QB Jordan Love for the most in the league

His chemistry with receivers Mike Evans and Chris Godwin is among the strongest in the NFL. They will need to leverage this advantage against a struggling Ravens defense that has allowed the most passing yards per attempt in the NFL.

Tampa Bay recently achieved their second game in franchise history scoring 50 or more points, and they have scored at least 30 points in three consecutive games for the first time since 2021.

While the Bucs have the potential to turn games into shootouts, their recent defensive struggles, allowing 26 points in three of their last four games, are cause for concern.

The Bucs defense gives up an average of 270 passing and one passing touchdown per game. Additionally, they allow opposing running backs to gain an average of 4.62 yards per carry, but they have only allowed four rushing touchdowns to the position in six games.

The health of defensive tackle Vita Vea will be critical for the Bucs. Their run defense has been much better when Vea has been available.

Ravens-Bucs Best Bet

The Ravens are favored by four points against the Bucs tonight, past the key number of three. As tempting as it is to back the Bucs in this one since the spread is past the key number of three, the total is more promising.

Oddsmakers have set the total at 50, which is just under the key number of 51, these offenses should score points with ease tonight.

The best bet in this one is Over 50 points.
