The Aces will travel to Indiana for two games against the Fever, with star forward A’ja Wilson no longer included on the injury report after missing the last game. This game, like every game for the rest of the season, is critical for the Aces, who lead Seattle by one game for the fourth spot.

Aces Fever

These two teams have met twice this season, with both games taking place early in the season. The Aces dominated both games, winning by 19 points each.

However, this Indiana Fever team is quite different than the one the Aces faced on July 2nd. The Fever are currently one of the hottest teams in the WNBA, with an 8-2 record in their previous ten games. Since their loss to the Aces, they have won 12 of their last 15.

This is due to the three-headed monster of Caitlin Clark, Aliyah Boston, and Kelsey Mitchell, who all scored 20 points in the Fevers previous game.

Lexie Hull also scored double digits in that game, and she has the potential to be the Fever’s X-factor in this one. Hull appeared in first of the two games against the Aces, scoring 12 points on 4-7 shooting, but was a DNP in the second.

The Aces, on the other hand, suffered a tough loss to the New York Liberty in their most recent game, without A’ja Wilson due to injury. Kelsey Plum was a bright spot for the Aces in that last game, scoring 25 points and hitting five three-pointers.

Good news for Aces fans heading into tonight’s game: A’ja Wilson is not on the injury list, which means she is available. Wilson has been dominating all season, but especially against the Fever, averaging 28.5 points and 12 rebounds while shooting 60%.

An x factor for the Aces is Tiffany Hayes who has not faced the Fever yet this season. Hayes has been a great spark off the bench since joining with the Aces, averaging 9.2 points per game while shooting 51% from the field and 37% from three.

These two teams will play again two days later, on Friday, with a 4:30 p.m. tip off on ION.
