This Tuesday at 4 p.m. ET, all NFL clubs must reduce their offseason 90-man rosters to only 53 players.
This process defines each team’s lineup for the upcoming year and releases numerous players onto the waiver wire, providing another opportunity for teams to acquire new talent.
Because different teams have different needs, players released by one team may quickly be claimed by another. However, these cuts need to be finalized before reaching that point.
The Raiders just released their list of cuts to reduce the roster to 53:

There were no surprise cuts, despite former starting quarterback Nathan Peterman being one of the notable names.

Some players will be added to the practice squad if they clear waivers, but the roster is seems set for week 1 against the Chargers.
