Former Las Vegas Aces star Dearcia Hamby filed a lawsuit this past Monday against the Aces and the WNBA for discrimination, intimidation, and retaliation that she was pregnant. Hamby claims that the Las Vegas Aces traded her to the Los Angeles Sparks because she was pregnant. The lawsuit specifically says that Hamby was forced to leave the team and the Aces failed to pay for private school tuition for her daughter and provide team housing.
Hamby also claims that head coach Becky Hammon bullied her by phone, saying that Hammon had told Hamby that she was going to be traded because she was pregnant.
However, after the Aces defeated the Los Angeles Sparks, the lawsuit was brought up to Becky at the post-game conference, and here is what she had to say.
