Alex Pereira Destroys

Alex Pereira put on a offensive onslaught of impact strikes to retain his light heavyweight championship in the main event of UFC 303 at T-Mobile Arena.

No this was not a rerun of the first fight between Alex Pereira and Jiri Prochazka . Yes I understand that the rematched ended very similar to their first fight. It doesn’t matter if they fight again, the result will still be the same which is a 2nd round KO.

What’s even more impressive with Pereira’s win over Prochazka is that he did it with a few broken toes. Despite that the champ landed a vicious kick to the head with those same broken toes which rocked Prochazka and that was the beginning of the end and the champ finished him off. No need for a 3rd fight between the two. Undoubtedly it’s understood that Prochazka can’t hurt Pereira and we do not want to watch any destruction  that’s not going past two rounds.

“I didn’t know how I was going to win, but I knew I was going to leave this Octagon happy,” Pereira said through an interpreter.

What’s next?

Going through another quick title defense, UFC fans want to know who could stand in the way of champ at light heavyweight or possibly heavyweight.

“I think that’s in my future,” Pereira said. “I say it a lot. I’m here, I’m available and I think that’s in my future.”

Looks like the light heavyweight is stuck with Pereira terrorizing the division for now. Maybe someone will step up the challenge and stop the champ in his tracks.
