ESPN recently released their WNBA rookie rankings which placed Kate Martin ahead of former Iowa teammate Caitlin Clark. Martin was ranked third among rookies, behind Cameron Brink and Angel Reese, while Clark was ranked sixth. Clark just was named Rookie of the Month by the WNBA after averaging 17.6 points per game, 5.1 rebounds per game and 6.6 assist per game. Meanwhile, Martin has performed well for the Aces, shooting 35% from beyond the arc and emerged as one of the top rookie rebounding guards grabbing 10.4% of available misses. With Martin starting to the get her flowers in her rookie season with the Aces it will be interesting to see where she finishes in the Rookie of the Year voting and also if she makes the WNBA All Rookie Team.
