Las Vegas Raiders add Mike Caldwell to Coaching Staff

Raiders Caldwell

The Las Vegas Raiders’ head coach, Antonio Pierce, continues to add to his staff by adding Mike Caldwell: he will be the Raiders’ defensive run game coordinator and linebackers coach.

Before joining the Raiders staff, Caldwell interviewed twice in January with the Philadelphia Eagles for the defensive coordinator opening.

After the season, Caldwell was fired as the defensive coordinator of the Jacksonville Jaguars. Caldwell spent two seasons in Jacksonville. He’s been an NFL assistant coach since 2008, with stops in the Eagles, Arizona Cardinals, the New York Jets, and Tampa Bay Buccaneers before going to Jaguars.

Caldwell could replace Raider’s defensive coordinator if Patrick Graham gets a head coaching job after next season.

Caldwell played linebacker in the NFL from 1993 to 2003 for the Cleveland Browns, Baltimore Ravens, Cardinals, Eagles, Chicago Bears, and Carolina Panthers.
