The future of Tyson Fury’s boxing career may have just become a lot clearer. The former two-time heavyweight champion revealed this week that Turki Alalshikh will serve as his promoter for the remainder of his professional career. Signaling an even deeper partnership between one of boxing’s biggest stars and the architect behind many of the sport’s recent blockbuster events.
The announcement comes as Fury appears to be closing in on a summer return to the ring and a long-awaited showdown with Anthony Joshua later this year. Fury took to Instagram to share the news, posting a photo alongside Alalshikh with a simple but powerful message.
“@Turki the promoter of the GK (Gypsy King) till I retire.”
The statement immediately sparked speculation throughout the boxing world regarding Fury’s future plans and what the move could mean for his long-standing relationship with veteran promoter Frank Warren.
Fury has worked with Warren for much of his professional career. Helping build one of the most successful heavyweight runs in modern boxing. At this stage, it remains unclear how Warren will fit into Fury’s future promotional structure.
Growing Relationship with Riyadh Season
The announcement should come as little surprise given Fury’s recent ties to Saudi Arabia and Riyadh Season. The British heavyweight has become one of the biggest stars featured on Saudi-backed boxing cards and has appeared on four Riyadh Season events over the last several years.
Alalshikh, who serves as Chairman of Saudi Arabia’s General Entertainment Authority (GEA), has played a central role in transforming the global boxing landscape through massive investments and high-profile events.
Now, Fury appears committed to continuing that partnership through the final chapter of his career.
