Bam Adebayo is the Miami Heat’s All-Star center, and he learned Sunday that Vegas can turn you into content fast. He showed up to a Golden Knights playoff game in Knights gear, and the timeline did the rest.
Adebayo sat rinkside with Las Vegas Aces superstar A’ja Wilson as Vegas rallied for a 5-3 win over Colorado in Game 3. As a result, the Golden Knights now lead the Western Conference Final 3-0.
SportsCenter posted it, then the Aces made it Vegas
SportsCenter put the moment on blast with: “Bam Adebayo and A’ja Wilson enjoying playoff hockey in Vegas ⚔️.” That single caption turned a date night into a national screenshot.
The Aces quickly jumped in, too. They reposted it with: “A Great Knight at The Fortress ⚔️💥.”
Panthers saw the sweater and posted first
However, Florida’s NHL team was not letting that Knights jersey slide. The Panthers account kept it simple and let the replies do the work.
“Bam… wyd 🥀,” the Panthers posted.
Bam clapped back and brought the receipt
Adebayo answered directly, and he made it clear the joke crossed a line for him.
“@FlaPanthers don’t ever disrespect my loyalty,” Adebayo posted. He also shared a video while holding up a Panthers jersey in a bag.
Then he explained why he did not wear Panthers gear inside T-Mobile Arena.
“So we just went to a Knights game,” Adebayo said in the video. “I just want everybody to know, it’s still… I just couldn’t wear it in there ’cause I was with somebody, but y’all know what it is.”
Panthers backed off and stamped approval
After the jersey reveal, the Panthers flipped from teasing to co-signing. So the moment turned from debate to running gag.
“Bam forever a real one 🙏🥲,” the Panthers posted.

Colorado faces elimination Tuesday night at T-Mobile Arena, and Vegas will try to finish the sweep. If the Golden Knights win, they punch their ticket to the Stanley Cup Final.
The Avalanche enter Game 4 at 8-3 this postseason, while Vegas enters at 10-4 with a 3-0 lead. Puck drop is scheduled for 6 p.m. PT on May 26, and the game will air on ESPN.
If Adebayo ends up back in the Fortress, the timeline is going to check his hoodie before it checks the score.
