HENDERSON, Nev. — The Las Vegas Raiders have found their next leader. Klint Kubiak has been named head coach of the Raiders, arriving in Henderson after orchestrating a championship-caliber offense for the Seattle Seahawks during their Super Bowl LX run. Kubiak enters his 13th NFL season and 17th overall in the coaching ranks, bringing a résumé built on quarterback development, explosive production, and postseason success.

A Championship Pedigree

Kubiak’s 2025 Seahawks offense was among the NFL’s elite, finishing third in scoring (28.4 ppg) and eighth in total offense (351.4 ypg) en route to a 14–3 record, an NFC West title, and a Super Bowl victory. Seattle set franchise records for points (483) and point differential (+191), while leading the league in 30-point halves and piling up nine games with 30+ points (including playoffs).

Quarterback Sam Darnold enjoyed a career renaissance under Kubiak, earning a Pro Bowl nod after completing 67.7% of his passes for 4,048 yards and 25 touchdowns. On the perimeter, Jaxon Smith-Njigba exploded for a league-high 1,793 receiving yards and 10 touchdowns, collecting first-team All-Pro honors and the NFL Offensive Player of the Year award.

Seattle’s balance was just as notable on the ground, vaulting from 28th in rushing in 2024 to 10th in 2025. Kenneth Walker III topped 1,000 yards, while Zach Charbonnet tied for sixth in the league with 12 rushing touchdowns.

Proven Across Stops and Systems

Before Seattle, Kubiak coordinated the New Orleans Saints’ offense in 2024 amid quarterback injuries, leaning on Alvin Kamara for a career-high 950 rushing yards while maintaining offensive efficiency.

His reputation as a passing-game architect was cemented with the San Francisco 49ers in 2023, where he helped guide an attack that ranked second in total offense. Quarterback Brock Purdy posted a league-best passer rating, and four 49ers earned AP All-Pro honors.

Earlier, as offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach in Minnesota, Kubiak oversaw peak seasons from Kirk Cousins, while nurturing stars like Justin Jefferson and Dalvin Cook. Cousins finished among the league leaders in passer rating, touchdowns, and efficiency across three seasons with Kubiak on staff.

Football Roots Run Deep

The hire continues a family legacy. Klint is the son of Super Bowl winning coach Gary Kubiak, and brother to Klay Kubiak. A former Colorado State safety and team captain, Kubiak also brings collegiate coaching experience from Texas A&M and Kansas.

For Las Vegas, the move signals a clear philosophical shift toward modern efficiency, quarterback growth, and offensive versatility. With Kubiak at the helm, the Raiders are betting on a coach who has consistently elevated talent. Blended balance with explosiveness, and delivered on the game’s biggest stage. The Silver and Black have their leader. Now comes the rebuild to the commitment to excellence.
