Chelsea Gray is a key player for the Las Vegas Aces, who takes her talents to the Unrivaled league each offseason. Following last season, she continues to lead Team Rose. In their most recent game, they faced Team Vinyl on January 9, with Rose winning 69-67 to start the season 2-0.

The game was back and forth early, with Team Vinyl winning the first two quarters and leading by 10 points at halftime. But Rose’s defense started to kick in, holding Vinyl scoreless in the paint in the second quarter. This kickstarted the momentum shift. Lexie Hull scored six points to open the second half. That push led Team Rose to take over in the third and fourth quarters. Rose held Vinyl’s offense to nine points in the final quarter.

Rose had five of its six players in double figures, with Shakira Austin notching a 14-point, 10-rebound double-double. However, the leader of the pack was none other than Chelsea Gray, who led Rose in scoring and assists. She also tied for the most assists in the game with Vinyl’s Rhyne Howard. Gray stayed hot after her 35-point game on January 5 against the Lunar Owls. She finished with 23 points, five rebounds, and five assists on 46.7 percent shooting.

Starting this season averaging 29 points, Gray looks to lead Rose to a second championship. This follows after winning the league’s first title last season.
