After clinching a game one win in the WNBA Finals against the Phoenix Mercury, A’ja Wilson spoke to the press about a number of things.
Her favorite thing, her customized A’One Susie Carmichael signature shoe that she wore. Wilson has worn this shoe more than once this season.
Her comments speak to not only her creativity as a person but as a player. You could sense the excitement when she mentioned the shoes and her why.
In an interview with the press, Wilson says, “Susie Carmichael is that girl. I don’t know, it’s just a funky, fun pair to wear and I love ’em.”

Wilson goes on later to put an inspirational spin on the deeper meaning of the shoes saying, “There’s always an inner child that comes out of us.”
It is unknown if Wilson and Nike will release the A’One Susie Carmichael to the public.
