The Kolton Miller injury situation has become a lot more dire than initial reports suggested.
On Tuesday, NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport confirmed earlier reports that he had suffered a high ankle sprain. However, a CT scan also revealed a hairline fracture.
As a result, the veteran offensive tackle was officially placed on injured reserve, meaning he will miss at least the next four games.

It is a devastating blow for both Miller and the Raiders, especially after the offensive line is coming off their best game of the season against the Chicago Bears.
During the Raiders’ final drive of the game, Miller went down with the injury and was carted off the field. Initial reports gave the impression that it was simply a sprain, meaning it looked worse than it did. However, the Raiders now have to look for plans to make do in the meantime.
Stone Forsythe is the early favorite to start after playing the only offensive snap Miller missed, while third-round rookie Charles Grant could be on the active game day roster.
