Recent Tom Brady comments allegedly target Shedeur Sanders

It feels like any time Las Vegas Raiders minority owner Tom Brady speaks about his philosophy of the type of player he wants, the first connection that fans make is Shedeur Sanders.

Despite the former Colorado product and son of NFL Hall of Famer Deion Sanders being linked heavily to the Raiders during the pre-draft process, the Raiders were content allowing the second-generation star to slip past them. Ultimately, Sanders wound up with the Cleveland Browns in the fifth round, ending what was easily the most shocking fall of the draft. Most blamed it on the reports suggesting Sanders bombed his pre-draft interviews, with some accusing Brady himself of convincing the Raiders to pass on him.

While there is no definitive evidence to suggest that, it has not stopped fans from trying to make something out of sometimes nothing.

Brady’s recent comments are the latest to see the anti-Shedeur spin.

From a post on X by MLFootball, fans are using Brady’s latest comments on quarterbacks to continue pushing the narrative that the future Hall of Famer said no to Sanders.

“Because football is the ultimate team sport. And even in this broadcasting role, that’s what I look for all the time. When a quarterback throws a touchdown pass, I actually watch to see who he goes to celebrate with. Because what did I do? I looked for my offensive lineman every time. I went down and celebrated in the end zone with my teammates every time. I wanted everyone to feel like they were part of the success,” Brady said.

While there was no explicit reference to Sanders, it has not stopped fans and analysts alike from reaching the same conclusion.

Regardless of what is going on, Sanders is trying to find his way in Cleveland, while Brady and the Raiders seem perfectly content with rolling with Geno Smith under center.
