The much anticipated clash between Stephen Fulton and O’Shaquie Foster now has a new date. The two have signed updated contracts to fight for Foster’s WBC junior lightweight title on October 25 in Las Vegas, sources confirmed to The Ring.
The bout will be featured on the undercard of a Premier Boxing Champions (PBC) pay-per-view event headlined by Sebastian Fundora defending his WBC super welterweight crown against former welterweight champion Keith Thurman. The full card is expected to be officially announced soon.
A New Opportunity After Delays
Originally, Foster-Fulton was scheduled for the Gervonta Davis–Lamont Roach II undercard on August 16. That event was canceled after Davis pivoted to a November 14 exhibition with Jake Paul, streamed by Netflix.
Now, Fulton (23-1, 8 KOs), of Philadelphia, will move up from featherweight to challenge Foster (23-3, 12 KOs) of Orange, Texas, in a bid to become a three-weight world champion.
Fulton’s Featherweight Situation
The WBC allowed Fulton to retain his 126-pound title despite stepping up to 130 for this fight. However, he’ll be required to make a decision afterward. Remain at junior lightweight or return to featherweight.
The featherweight division is already in flux:

Bruce “Shu Shu” Carrington (17-0, 9 KOs) recently captured the WBC interim featherweight title with a July 26 win over Mateus Heita.

Rey Vargas, the full champion, currently holds “champion in recess” status.
Should Fulton remain at 130, Carrington could be elevated to full champion at 126.
Fulton’s Recent Run
Fulton claimed the WBC featherweight title earlier this year with a commanding points win over rival Brandon Figueroa. Before that, he survived a knockdown against Carlos Castro in his featherweight debut but rallied to edge a split-decision.
Foster’s First Big Defense
Foster looks to further cement himself at 130 after winning the WBC title and building momentum as one of the division’s most skilled operators. A win over Fulton would add a strong name to his resume and potentially set up unification opportunities.
