This season has been challenging for the Aces, who are struggling to recapture the championship form they displayed in 2023.
With A’ja Wilson leading the charge, the team is in danger of missing the playoffs if it doesn’t improve its performance after the break.
Currently sitting at 10-11, the Aces are tied for the eighth and final playoff spot, a stark contrast to their expectations in previous years.

Even so, I have more confidence in the Aces than in the Wings. Dallas has lost three consecutive games following a stretch where their rookies appeared to find their rhythm, winning five out of seven.
The Wings displayed their inconsistency in an earlier matchup against the Aces, where Las Vegas pulled off a comeback with a 17-2 run to claim victory.
Despite their struggles this season, the Aces need to take advantage of matchups against teams on the outside looking in for the playoffs.
I expect them to give their best effort in this final game before the break, which should favor the Aces.
