Oscar De La Hoya, CEO of Golden Boy Promotions, leaked a profanity laced text message allegedly sent to him by Ryan Garcia. Exposing the increasingly volatile relationship between the young star and his longtime promoter. The leaked message, filled with frustration and explicit language, underscores the deepening rift between the two. While the exact content hasn’t been fully disclosed, it’s clear that Garcia feels betrayed or unsupported and De La Hoya, rather than handling the matter privately, chose to make it public.
The move has drawn criticism from fans and boxing insiders, some of whom see it as unprofessional and damaging to both parties. But everyone is use to it by now when it comes to these two.
“First of all, f—k you, especially you for one disrespectful me with that sh—y contract [because] I lost but I’m your actual only current star fighter. You can suck a d—k and I know you already do. So f—k you. You can kiss my ass. I’ll beat Rolly’s ass and whoever. I can’t wait till I go against you again like I did with [Oscar] Duarte and … to see your stupid ass face again looking stupid f—k you and that stupid offer b—-h I’ll slap the f—k outta you just like Canelo and Berlanga.”
This is just another episode of a very fractured relationship. But they’re still in business together and they will be in the same room sooner or later. This is one of the most dysfunctional relationships and all of boxing. Hopefully it gets better and Ryan Garcia starts winning again and they’ll start making more money again.
