The Minnesota Timberwolves will face the Golden State Warriors in Game 4 of their best-of-7 second-round series on Monday. They aim to take a 3-1 lead. The game will start at 7 p.m. PST at Chase Center.

In their previous matchup on Saturday, the Timberwolves secured a narrow 102-97 victory against the Warriors, clinching the win as a 4.5-point favorite while the total points stayed Under 202.

Anthony Edwards led the Timberwolves with an impressive 36 points, and Julius Randle contributed significantly with a triple-double of 24 points, 10 assists, and 12 rebounds.

Rudy Gobert also made a strong impact, grabbing a game-high 13 rebounds, helping the Timberwolves dominate the boards 44-36.

The Warriors struggled in the absence of star guard Steph Curry, who is sidelined due to a hamstring injury.

They hit only 10 three-pointers, a stark contrast to their average of 15.4 threes in their first-round upset of the Houston Rockets.

Although Jimmy Butler scored 33 points and Jonathan Kuminga added 30 off the bench, the Warriors struggled to generate offense outside of those two.

Both Draymond Green and Kevon Looney fouled out, contributing to their defeat.

Despite the Warriors lacking momentum, their winning culture and Butler’s playoff expertise make them a formidable opponent.

It’s anticipated that Butler will shine again, and Brandin Podziemski, averaging 9.7 points in the playoffs, is expected to step up in this matchup, with the Warriors potentially covering the spread as 5.5-point underdogs.

Note that while the Warriors have struggled lately, with a 2-5 ATS record in their last 7 games, the Timberwolves have been strong, going 5-1 ATS in their last 6.

Given Curry’s absence, Minnesota appears to be the stronger team, making this wager a bit risky.
