Syndication: The Indianapolis Star

The UNLV Lady Rebels just keep adding to their offensive arsenal this offseason.  It is being reported by Sports Illustrated that the Lady Rebels have received a commitment from Destiny Leo from the transfer portal.

Coach LaRocque issued a statement about having the chance to grab such a sharpshooter from the transfer portal.

“Destiny is one of the best three-point shooters in the country,” said La Rocque. “She’s had a tremendous collegiate career so far, collecting just about every Horizon League award possible. She’s a fierce competitor, an elite three level scorer, and a winner! Her tempo and ability to score in bunches fits our style and system perfectly. She brings talent and experience that will elevate our program to the next level. We’re so excited to have her join our Lady Rebels family. Our fans are going to absolutely love watching her play!”

Leo comes to UNLV from Willowick, Ohio and has played the last five seasons with Cleveland State.

The guard stands at 5’10 and is a four-time All-Horizon league selection. Leo also holds the school record for most three-pointers made at 329.

The Lady Rebels have scored big time this offseason from the transfer portal. Coach LaRocque has hopes that Leo will be the integral piece to the Lady Rebels offense.
