On Monday night, coach Lindy La Rocque and the UNLV Lady Rebels welcomed a new addition in Mariah Elohim from Fresno State.

The newest guard for the Lady Rebels is from Westlake, California and stands 5’10.

After leading scorer Amarachi Kimpson officially signed her commitment to the Miami Hurricanes this past weekend, the Lady Rebels may have found her replacement.

Elohim is joining the Lady Rebels through the transfer portal.

Coach La Rocque made a statement on Monday:

“Mariah brings great experience and skill to our program,” said La Rocque. “We are excited about her dynamic scoring ability and more than anything, she is all about winning! A perfect fit for our championship culture. We’re thrilled to add Mariah and her family to Rebel Nation!”

In her last season at Fresno State, Elohim averaged 9.7 points per game. She started in 31 of 34 games and was the team’s second-leading scorer.

Elohim also averaged 1.6 rebounds and 1.7 assists per game.

Prior to playing at Fresno State, Elohim played at Long Island University, where she scored a career-high 30 points in a game.

Elohim brings her scoring talent to the Lady Rebels and adding a key piece to La Rocque’s offense.
