- What: NBA Regular Season Game
- When: April 8, 2025
- Who: Minnesota Timberwolves vs. Milwaukee Bucks
- Time: 5:00 p.m. PST
- Where: Fiserv Forum (Milwaukee, WI)
The Minnesota Timberwolves (46-32) will play against the Milwaukee Bucks (44-34) on Tuesday, with tip-off scheduled for 8 p.m. ET at Fiserv Forum.
The Bucks hold a 1-0 advantage in the season series after narrowly winning 103-101 on the road on February 12.
The Timberwolves are enjoying a five-game winning streak following a successful 3-0 road trip, including victories over Denver, Brooklyn, and Philadelphia.
They recently defeated the Sixers 114-109 on Saturday, although they didn’t cover the spread as 16.5-point favorites. Anthony Edwards had an impressive game with 37 points, while Rudy Gobert delivered a standout performance with 23 points, 19 rebounds, and 3 blocks.
Currently, the Wolves are tied with the LA Clippers, Golden State, and Memphis for the fifth position in the Western Conference.
The Bucks have secured four consecutive victories, highlighted by a 111-107 win over the New Orleans Pelicans on Sunday. Forward Giannis Antetokounmpo and guard Damian Lillard did not play in that game.
Gary Trent Jr. scored 29 points, while Kevin Porter Jr. and Brook Lopez each contributed 20 points. Giannis is expected to return on Tuesday, though Lillard will remain out. Forward Bobby Portis Jr. will return after completing a 25-game suspension.
I’m going with Milwaukee in this matchup for a couple of reasons. The Wolves are currently in the fourth game of a lengthy road trip that started eight days ago and will continue to Memphis after this game.
Giannis has had some time to rest, and Gobert won’t be able to replicate his 23-and-19 performance against the Bucks. That was just enough to take down the struggling Sixers.
Portis’ return will also help stretch the defense and provide a needed boost. I’ll take the Bucks to win this one in an upset.
