Lady Rebels visit in-state rival in Mountain West Doubleheader

The UNLV Lady Rebels take on in-state rival UNR in a doubleheader on Wednesday, April 2 at 12pm.

This series is a part of the Silver State Series presented by America first.

The Lady Rebels take on UNR first at 12pm and 2:30pm.

The last time to the two teams met, the Lady Rebels won 2-1 in a three-game series. The two teams also met in the first round of the Mountain West Championships, UNR took the in.

Coming into this series, the Wolfpack are 26-9 overall and 4-2 in the Mountain West. UNR is coming off a 2-1 series win over San Diego State.

Aaliyah Jenkins leads UNR with .429 batting average. Jenkins also leads the team in batting percentage with .800 and on-base percentage with .527. She is second on team in homeruns with eight and an RBI of 33.

In their last time on the field, the Lady Rebels dropped three games against Boise State over the weekend. Sofia Morales led the Lady Rebels, batting .444 (4-for-9) through three games.

Ariana Martinez leads the Lady Rebels softball program for career RBIs with 190. Head coach Kristie Fox has an overall record of 219-117 since coaching the UNLV Lady Rebels.

The Lady Rebels are predicted to finish fourth in the Mountain West Conference this season.

Next up, the Lady Rebels will have the weekend off before heading to San Diego State for a three-game series starting Friday, April 11 and ending Sunday, April 13.
